After college, she dabbled in Real Estate and Sales and married her husband Jason in 2007 before moving back to Midland. Lee High School in 2001, GO REBELS! She went off to college at the University of North Texas in Denton, TX where she earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and Real Estate. Rachel was born in Iraan, TX and moved to Midland in 1990. She started at Lone Star on as an Escrow Assistant and then moved to Marketing then to her current position as a Vice President and Escrow Officer. Rachel Evans is a Vice President and Escrow Officer at Lone Star Abstract & Title Co., Inc. Jack stays very involved with Rotary Youth Exchange in his home district of 5730. He is a member and Elder of First Christian Church of Midland as well as the 2006-2007 President of The Rotary Club of Midland West. Jack also spends much of his time working with the Community. He is certified as a Certified Escrow Settlement Professional. In 2003 he earned the opportunity to be the Chairman of the Land Title School and currently serves on the School Committee. In addition to having served on several committees of the Texas Land Title Association, Jack is a graduate of the Land Title School of Texas. In February of 2000, Jack purchased a majority share of the business from his father and eventually purchased all of the shares. In 1995 Jack moved back home to work with his father at Lone Star Abstract. Jack managed Lawyers Title Company of Brazos County until 1995. After serving as an escrow officer for a year, Jack was presented with the opportunity to manage the company. Jack left Houston to work briefly for University Title in College Station, Texas as an escrow officer, then left for Lawyers Title Company of Brazos County in Bryan, Texas. After working his way up, Jack became a commercial escrow officer with the company. Jack married Troy Russell in 1991 and started his title company career in Houston working for Heritage Title Company. Jack left Midland to go to school at Texas A&M University and received a degree in Accounting and Finance from Texas A&M in 1990. Jack was born and grew up in Midland and graduated from Midland High School. It is a contract of indemnity, meaning a promise to pay you or to take other action if you have a loss resulting from a covered title risk.Jack Campbell is the President of Lone Star Abstract. Remember, your title policy is insurance. What are some of the hidden defects? Hidden defects can include fraud, forgeries, duress, defective documents, improper signatures, faulty acknowledgements, recording errors, incompetence, incapacity, impersonation, unknown heirs and incorrect tax reports. The lender’s policy protects the lender’s interest only and does not provide protection to the owner. Title Insurance is valuable assurance that every possible potential obstacle to “clear” title has been brought to the buyer’s attention. This one-time premium charge for title insurance provides protection against hidden defects (undiscoverable problems), which may not be discovered by a search and examination of public records. The premium rate and types of coverages are set by the Texas Department of Insurance and is not a negotiable cost. It is the intent of the Department to provide for the protection of every Texas consumer and purchaser of a title insurance policy. The Texas Department of Insurance regulates the issuance of owner’s and lender’s title policies. A title company provides this information for its underwriter by examining public records and issuing a commitment as to the current condition of the title. It is extremely important that the buyer be financially protected against any undisclosed restrictions, liens or other types of claims against the property. A “Title Insurance Policy” insures the owners of real property or others interested against financial loss caused by title risks that are covered. Therefore, laws and regulations have become complex and cumbersome. Real Estate has always been considered one of a person’s most valuable assets.
